In the middle of an endless ocean of black ink, a circular platform floats, its surface inscribed with glowing runes that change with every ripple of the water. A girl with eyes like burning coals stands in the center, holding an enormous sword that drips with liquid starlight. As she raises the sword, the ink around the platform begins to boil, and from its depths rises a giant, skeletal serpent with wings made of fire. The runes on the platform shift, forming chains of light that bind the serpent, but the girl hesitates, her grip on the sword faltering as the serpent speaks with a voice that echoes her own. With a single swing, she cuts the chains, releasing the serpent as the ink ocean turns into a sea of stars, and she is left standing on a solitary island of light.
